I have worked in aged care centres, family practices (both rural and suburban) and have completed post graduate studies in paediatric Chiropractic (DACCP). During my Chiro studies I was working as a Pilates instructor. So if you are after rehabilitation exercises, I am here for you!

Originally from beautiful New Zealand, I recently made the move to sunny Queensland in search of warmer weather and exciting new opportunities. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I can’t wait to dive into this new adventure with all of you. When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll often find me on the court, indulging in my love for sports, especially racket sports like tennis, table tennis, and badminton. I also enjoy powerlifting. Powerlifting drives me to push my physical limits and continuously improve my strength. Training for powerlifting is both challenging and rewarding, demanding dedication, consistency, and mental toughness. The sense of accomplishment from setting and achieving personal records is incredible.
Staying active has always been a big part of my life, and I’m passionate about helping others do the same.
One of the things that truly drives me is seeing the difference I can make in people’s lives, especially when it comes to acute injuries and chronic pain. Being able to support individuals through these challenges and help them find relief is incredibly rewarding to me.I’m beyond excited to be here at Embrace Life, and I’m looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you. Together, let’s work towards achieving your wellness goals and making a positive impact on our community. -

Dr Wayne Haynes (Chiropractor & Trained Osteopath)
Qualifications:
PHD (Posture, Spinal Function & Cognition)
Doctor of Chiropractic
Doctor of Osteopathy
Techniques:
Diversified manual, drop piece, soft tissue, rehabilitation, sports injuries, ergonomic and postural advice.
Passion:
Wayne sees the role of a chiropractor as providing pain relief and functional restoration in order to restore quality of life and engagement in sustained physical activity. Increasing our physical activity levels is a key to many chronic illness states.
His clinical approach focuses on integrating specialized dynamic hands on therapy, manipulative therapy, exercise advice and lifestyle changes where needed. An approach that encompasses physical activity as “medicine”. Wayne has designed many of the dynamic soft tissue interventions he uses in clinical practice, arising from explorations of research.
Wayne’s clinical approach also recognizes the importance of psychological factors that are ever present in complex pain disorders; Kinesiophobia, other fear based beliefs associated with spinal stiffness presentations
Wayne has a strong knowledge of spinal posture and assessment, spinal stability, balance control and correction. He also has a doctoral level of understanding of the neurophysiology of posture and spinal function, its evolutionary origins, phylogenetic development and ontogenetic process of motor coordination refinement from birth to adulthood.
Having previously worked in elite sports including consulting to the Geelong AFL football club, Cadel Evans (Cyclist), Adam Scott (Golfer) and others, Wayne has extensive experience with various sports injuries. His public health roles involved a leadership position (research and program design) for a national physical activity provider (Bluearth Institute) and as a health care provider for an indigenous health service.
Wayne has a lifelong interest in learning and research, completing his PhD in relationships between spinal function and cognition, in 2020 at University of Canberra. His greatest asset in a clinical setting is listening, understanding, relating and building interpersonal relationships based on mutual shared truth, trust and honesty.
